Building An Email List From Your Network Marketing Readers

Success in network marketing begins to take flight, when an email list is built. Until email marketing is done the right way, your MLM business will suffer.

Perhaps the most simple starting point for getting our lead generation efforts off the ground is by producing enough content that attracts readers to our website. This might seem too simplistic, but before you brush off the concept, allow me to further explain how to do it.

When I was working in retail sales, my organization would always set up monthly sales quotas. The way I figured it, I had a job to do and my company had a job to do. Their job was to generate store traffic through advertising and other marketing efforts. My job was to sell the customers that came through the door.

Whenever the sales numbers were low in the store, my sales manager would always ask about why the sales figures were low. Since I generally had a decent conversion rate, I always gave him the same response with his concerns – “I can’t sell what doesn’t come through the door.”

Building An Email List Is A Simple Matter, But It’s Not Easy

The reason I bring this story up is to remind you; you have to get readers to your website, and you have to point those readers to your (USP) Unique Selling Proposition. If they are sold on your USP, list building and lead generation becomes a simple matter. All that’s needed is content with enough quality and quantity to attract many readers.

The quality comes from digging a little deeper into your topic; you don’t have to be an absolute expert on the subject, but go as far as you can to uncover something new, or with your original spin on it.

The quantity comes from doing research to uncover enough sub-niche keywords that attract readers that type in their keyword search queries from search engines, like Google. It’s very much like fishing with a large net.

Once you have the attention of these readers, lead generation, by having them sign up to your email list, is as easy as having something to offer. It could be an eBook, or something enticing enough for them to want to give you their personal information.

That’s It…List Building in a nutshell. Of course, you also need a way to capture the names and email addresses of those customers, such as a squeeze page or auto responder service like Aweber. You also will need your email campaign already written out and ready to go.

No matter where you mind travels, get away from the “I’m not an expert” trap. Do some research and find out something that you didn’t know. Chances are good that someone else might be looking for the exact information that you find.
