Affiliate Products Can Grow Your Network Marketing Business

By Greg Jackson on July 8, 2014

Affiliate products are a major part of most successful online network marketing income streams. Affiliate marketing products can grow your MLM business.

Before your network marketing business can really take off, it has to hit a hyper-growth stage. The concept of network marketing alone, entails that both you and your distributors are recruiting. Until this happens, the majority of your income will come mostly from the commissions of the people you recruit alone.

The commissions that come from MLM recruiting won’t amount to much, until you hit certain bonus levels in your company’s compensation plan. Many of these bonuses can only kick in after certain group volume requirements have been met.

Affiliate Products As a Network Marketing Income Stream

Before I ever got out of high school, a mentor of mine suggested, on top of getting a college degree, that I learn a trade. His rationale implied that:

  1. I could earn an additional income apart from my regular job, and
  2. in case the job market for college graduates ever slowed down, I could still earn decent wages with a trade.

Promoting affiliate products offer additional insurance against putting all your eggs in one basket. Until your network marketing company can produce a sustainable residual income, adding affiliate products to your arsenal can bring in higher commissions than those of a lot of network marketing companies.

If you need to learn more about promoting affiliate products, check out the Super Affiliate Handbook.

One of the most important aspects of having an affiliate products campaign is tailoring your message with the right products. If you promote the wrong products, it will cost you. Be sure that your message is congruent with the products you are promoting.

A lot of affiliate products have banners, so if you decide to put them on your website, make sure it’s a good fit with the MLM niche that you’ve implemented.

Affiliate Marketing And MLM Income Streams

By Greg Jackson on July 1, 2014

The income that comes from an MLM business shouldn’t be confined to a business opportunity. Affiliate marketing and network marketing are a great mix.

If you are only using your network marketing company as a source of income, you are leaving money on the table. As an online Internet marketer, it’s important to realize that it could take a while to build up your business to the point of receiving a good residual income.

It’s not my intention to dash water on your dreams, but why not hedge your bets by including additional income sources. Another great stream of income is affiliate marketing.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

In a nutshell, affiliate marketing is a business model in which merchants and salespeople have an arrangement that allows for the sales force to earn a commission.

When I first heard about affiliate marketing, I thought it was one of the greatest concepts inside the internet marketing empire.

If you are in the network marketing profession, adding the affiliate marketing model to your business can not only increase your bank account; you might actually make more money through affiliate marketing.

If you need to learn more about affiliate marketing, check out the Super Affiliate Handbook!

Factors To Consider For The Network Marketer That Does Affiliate Marketing

  1. If your MLM company isn’t getting you to a fast start, affiliate marketing could be your top income source.
  2. You can potentially make money from website visitors that don’t join your business.
  3. You can set up email marketing campaigns, not only for your network marketing company, but for affiliate products too.
  4. There are literally thousands of products that can cater to your customer base, but you have to streamline the products that your customers have an interest in.

As with anything else in the internet marketing realm, you have to attract potential clients with your information, instead of giving a sales pitch and hoping they’ll buy.

Affiliate Marketing Tip: If you take care of your customers with the information they want and need, your customers will eventually take care of you by purchasing what you have to offer.

Wishing You The Best,

Network Marketing Checklist For The Best Affiliate Programs

By Greg Jackson on June 27, 2014

Picking the best affiliate programs for network marketing is about solving problems. Affiliate marketing is the answer to your MLM business.

It’s always best to start out from the customer’s point of view for choosing the best affiliate programs that you can find. In general, your customer base can build your castle, or sink your ship. If you keep that in mind, you’ll always be ahead of the game.

The best affiliate programs will pay you what you’re worth!

If an affiliate program doesn’t pay out a decent percentage of the total sale, it will take you longer to reach your profit goals. Many of the best affiliate programs pay out at a rate of 50% or higher.

It’s also good to consider how often it pays, and the threshold you have to reach before you are actually paid. Payment schedules can generally range anywhere from an instant pay system to once a month.

Depending on when a sale is made, some affiliates might not pay out until around the 60th or 90th day from the sale date.

If you are new to affiliate marketing, and want a more extensive understanding on the subject, check out Rosalind Gardner’s Super Affiliate Handbook.

Rules for picking the best affiliate programs

  1. Research the market demand for the product or service you are considering.
  2. Carefully consider the needs of the network marketing niche before promoting that product or service.
  3. Find out about the guarantee and return policy of a product to insure customer satisfaction.
  4. Check out consumer reviews of that product or service, whenever possible.
  5. Question and research extreme claims about what product creators say their product/service will do.

Many of the best affiliate programs can be found through affiliate networks

I prefer promoting from what’s called an affiliate network. These networks promote products through many vendors, using the leverage of a one-stop shop that is usually well known through advertising.

Below are several of the more popular affiliate networks. To find the best affiliate programs that are right for MLM professionals, it would be a good idea to look through the marketplace of these networks.

Some of these networks serve a specific customer base, so research them to see if they are a good fit. If you are interested in promoting a product or service that’s not part of an affiliate network, check to see if there’s an affiliate program with that particular company.

List of networks for some of the best affiliate programs

  • LinkShare
  • ClickBank
  • Amazon
  • CJ Affiliate by Conversant
  • ShareASale
