Lead Generation

Turning Website Surfers Into MLM Leads

By Greg Jackson on July 14, 2014

If you’re frustrated with the shortage of MLM leads that you’re getting, here are some tips that will help with your network marketing lead generation.

It’s a well-established fact that online network marketers grow their MLM leads faster through email marketing.

The reason for this is quite simple; potential recruits are exposed to more of your marketing messages after they’ve given you their email address.

I will be giving you some very simple methods for increasing your lead flow and increasing your sign-up rate for new network marketing recruits.

I will be showing an easy way and a hard way to get more MLM leads. We might as well cover the hard stuff and get it out of the way.

Increased Traffic Brings in More MLM Leads

The most basic way that I know to increase traffic to your website is by writing more content. I can guess that this isn’t what you were expecting to hear, or wanting to hear.

The Internet isn’t what it was 10 years ago. Back then, blogs and websites that are struggling today would’ve had greater chances of success because the competition wasn’t there to the extent that it is today.

Basically what I’m saying is, you have to compete with a lot more content to offset all of the players in the field. Although this is a very simplistic view, it is also one that isn’t discussed much.

The increase of competitors across all fields in the Internet marketing realm is probably one of the big reasons why Google has so many updates to its algorithm.

It’s just the way it is! Just make sure that the keywords you use her streamlined and targeted to your niche market.

Longtailed keywords are also very important because some of the main keywords are too competitive. If you need help in your keyword research, check out Long Tail Pro.

Increasing Lead Capture Page Visibility Increases MLM Leads

One of the least utilized ways of bringing in more leads is by putting your lead capture page inside of your blog posts.

There are a couple of ways you can do this:

  1. You can insert the web address of your lead capture page inside of your blog posts.
  2. Or, you can put the lead capture page itself, into your blog posts.

Most lead capture pages are located in the sidebar of your blog or website. By putting it inside of your content, you increase the visibility to your readers.

There are other factors to consider, like the headline and marketing message that you use to entice your readers to give their personal information.

Try these methods, and see whether or not they increase the size of your list.

Wishing You the Best,

Marketing Automation And Network Marketing

By Greg Jackson on June 30, 2014

To make the most of MLM lead generation, marketing automation can make your network marketing business profitable and efficient.

Marketing automation covers a wide range of tools that make you more efficient with analyzing and reaching your customer base.

I would be lost without them, because the very nature of building a website is way less tedious with these tools in place.

Marketing Automation For Keyword Research

For me, looking for keywords is one of the most important aspects of running a network marketing business. It’s also the one activity that requires a lot of thinking and processing of information. I have two recommendations for marketing automation with keywords.

  • Google AdWords Keyword Planner – It is free, but a lot more time consuming.
  • Long Tail Pro – It is a small investment that is worth the cost, because of its speed and ease of use.

Marketing Automation For Website Analytics

Analytics is about alerting you to people visiting your website, how many times and what pages they visited, where they are from and much more! This tool is about the truth on just how well your site is doing, in terms of exposure.

  • Google Analytics

Marketing Automation For SEO

There are many tools that you can use for search engine optimization on your website. This particular type of tool is designed to make optimum use of your keywords throughout your blog post.

It specifically deals with how the words that are used with your title, tags, content and other areas. All of this is designed to help you rank higher in the search engines. Here are my two recommendations.

  • WordPress SEO by Yoast – This is a plug-in that can only be used in WordPress.
  • SEOPressor

Marketing Automation For Email Marketing

Email marketing is a relationship building tool that is fundamental in building a network marketing business. Without it, you limit your profitability with repeat sales and any other information you would like to send out through a permission email system.

  • MailPoet – This is a WordPress plug-in that is free to use.
  • Aweber

Marketing Automation For Social Media

With social media being an obvious necessity in building an online presence, there are many tools that can be used to communicate with the social networks. The one recommendation that I have, also has its own analytics tools.

  • Hootsuite

Marketing Automation All-In-One Suites

There are online services that covers almost everything combined in all of the marketing automation tools that have already been mentioned. Check out the marketing suite below:

  • Raven Tools

Use these marketing automation tools to leverage your time and business. Any one of them can add tremendous value to your current marketing efforts.

Search Engine Traffic Is Essential To MLM Lead Generation

By Greg Jackson on December 12, 2013

In order to achieve success, it’s important to focus on MLM lead generation through search engine traffic. It’s a necessity in network marketing.

The search engines, particularly Google, can be your best friend in cases where you are working with a limited budget. It’s important to know how Google works, so that your efforts aren’t wasted.

MLM Lead Generation and Search Engine Traffic

Before you actually take on the task of MLM lead generation, you should first consider your content from the perspective of the search engines. Google, for example, looks over an extremely high volume of websites to find new content.

Once it finds this content, it then organizes this information into an index. The name given for this process is called crawling. Exactly how Google organizes this information is known only to them. There are some guidelines that should be followed, based on well known patterns.

To take advantage of search engine traffic, you should first choose a generic term, based on the topic of your content. You should then, carefully create your content around that generic term. The term itself, is called a keyword.

Keywords in and of themselves, for the most part, have too much competition unless you’re fully established in the niche of that keyword.

Perhaps the best tool to use in uncovering phrases that include the keyword is called the Google Keyword Planner. These phrases or groups of words, that have the keyword inside of them, are referred to as long-tailed keywords.

When looking for these keyword phrases, it’s a good idea to check these words for consistency and accuracy, when tied to your niche.

Check out this free Google Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide. It goes into detail about what you should do, when it comes to looking for more exposure with search engine traffic. This should help you along the way to your MLM lead generation endeavors.

Social Media Lead Generation And Network Marketing

By Greg Jackson on December 10, 2013

Social Media Lead Generation can engage with your network marketing followers in a way that they give you their email address. It’s a boost to your MLM biz.

Before I get into the nitty gritty about social media lead generation, check out the video below:

Alex Beadon talks about the use of Pinterest in promoting your business.

Social Media Lead Generation Is About Free Exposure Beyond Google

Let’s face it; sometimes, Google works too slow for me. I appreciate that it’s free advertising, but being held hostage to what the search engines are doing is like waiting for the doctors to tell you the news, good or bad.

If you are already doing well on the search engines, good for you.

The danger lies in how a blog post might be ranked #1 in the SERPs on a given day, just to drop out of the Top 50 the next. Social media is not only another lead source; it’s also a way to be less dependent on search engines.

One of the hard parts about network marketing is that, it can be a hard sell; not the concept, your company. If you’ve built some type of funded proposal system around your website, which I hope you have, then you should be able to provide something of interest to the folks that don’t join your business.

I’m stating this because you probably shouldn’t be promoting your business on social media, anyway. Just so you know that I’m no saint, I’ve done it too, so I’m not pointing fingers.

When I go to Twitter, the last thing that you will see me doing is clicking on someone’s business opportunity. There are so many of them, I get dizzy looking for the people that aren’t doing it. Send out messages that you find useful, that can apply to other types of businesses; not just network marketing.

Also, try to establish relationships with individuals and groups that aren’t in the network marketing realm. Some of your business will come from the most unlikely of sources. A lot of these potential clients may have large groups in their social media following, so keep an open mind.

Social media lead generation can occur in the most unlikely of ways. I would also encourage you to use an automated social media management system. Personally, I use Hootsuite.

Automate Your Social Media Lead Generation

The best way to draw in people on social media is to send them something of interest; something informative and entertaining. Your website or lead capture page should be in your profile. If they are interested in what you’ve offered, they just might check it out.

One more thing. If you have a website, make sure that you have social media buttons. That makes it easy for others to follow you and share your content.

Wishing You The Best,

Greg Jackson

Targeted Website Traffic Gains More MLM Prospects

By Greg Jackson on December 10, 2013

Targeted website traffic is an essential to successful MLM lead generation. Your network marketing success comes down to content and keywords.

The quality of your copywriting, video, or audio is important for keeping their attention, but when it comes to visitors getting to your site, keywords are king.

Targeted Website Traffic = Keywords

One of the first things that I noticed about keywords around the network marketing niche are the main concept words that you have to consider. Here are a few of these words: network marketing, multilevel marketing, multi-level marketing, and mlm.

You might be surprised to find that all of these words have totally different search results with the search engines. All variations of them can be used in your lead generation efforts.

Who shows up on page #1 of Google may vary a little, but the number of results are very different. This can be confusing to beginners that are trying to figure out where to start. My advice would be, to not get too bogged down with the differences, and experiment with a couple of the words to see which would be a better fit for you.

Regardless of which main concept word that you use, you still have to focus deeper into niches inside the MLM industry. Targeted website traffic is about getting closer to what you want to accomplish, which is lead generation for most of the industry.

If you are trying to dominate the main keywords, it will probably be a few months or years to get to that point. Being successful in network marketing can happen for you by doing well with sub-niche words.

Since you have to use main concept words, it’s a good idea to go after long-tail keywords, or phrases that have the main concept words in them. Targeted website traffic is the key, and your lead generation campaign works best, when people actually find you!

Wishing You The Best,

Greg Jackson

MLM Traffic Generation As A Numbers Game

By Greg Jackson on December 9, 2013

Doing lots of MLM traffic generation activities has to be a high priority. Attracting lots of network marketing clients will help you succeed.

MLM Traffic Generation is about getting people’s attention to your website; hopefully, with the possibility that they will buy what you are selling, or respond to your call to action.

Allow me to illustrate a ridiculous reverse engineering of the process:

  • Network Marketing recruits come from your sales funnel.
  • The sales funnel comes from the people that give you their names and email addresses or email list.
  • The names and email addresses you receive come from your MLM traffic generation efforts.

MLM Traffic Generation Reality Check

You have to work the numbers to be effective with your MLM traffic generation methods. This topic is more about a reality check, and less about techniques and methods.

You have to think outside the box to determine just how many times your lead capture page is seen, without someone giving you their name or email address. And for those that do give you their information, how many of them actually join your opportunity?

The bottom line is more about mindset, and not giving up because of the amount of traffic you will need to be a success.

Elliot Hulse talks about what it means to fail. WARNING: He uses very expressive words, but his message is timeless.

Do you recall the first time you got excited about network marketing?

You saw the compensation plan, and understood how you could leverage your potential income through building an organization.

If you were like me, you computed how many distributors it would take to hit that magical income figure.

We didn’t factor in all of the frustration from things like signing up someone and having them drop out after the first month. We didn’t factor in bringing more people in the business who wouldn’t duplicate our efforts. We didn’t look at the realities of human nature, itself.

We just saw the dream and bought into it!

MLM Traffic Generation By The Numbers

  • If only 1 person out of 100 fills out your lead capture page, is it still worth going through the MLM traffic generation process?
  • Is it too hard?
  • Are you going to quit?

It’s all part of the MLM traffic generation game. These are the exact conditions that many success stories are born from.

Many six figure earners in the network marketing business had to “rise from the ashes” to make their dream possible.

Greg Jackson
