MLM Recruiting Through The Internet

Online MLM Psychology Of Success

By Greg Jackson on July 14, 2014

There is a psychology of success in network marketing that hits at the heart of all successful top MLM earners. If you stay focused, success is yours.

There is a lot of excitement generated when like-minded people see the vision in the form of potential wealth, through the vehicle of network marketing.

I remember when I first caught the fire. The compensation plan was a little hard to understand, but I understood enough to see the potential in growing a very large organization.

Over time, a lot of us lose that fire. Reality kicks in, as we hear, one too many, individuals ask the dreaded question, “Is this a pyramid scheme?”

Psychology Of Success Principle #1: Building the Foundation

It can be a little disheartening to realize just how much work goes into becoming a successful network marketer. If you use an Internet marketing model, your journey isn’t necessarily easier; just different.

When you really think about it, you have to keep in mind that everyone that joins under you, for the most part, will feel some of the same emotions and insecurities about putting in the work.

Building the foundation is about putting in the time and effort to get content up and running. It doesn’t have to be great, but it has to be done.

The faster you build it, meaning your website or blog, the faster you will see results. This is the psychology of success in action. My advice is that you get busy writing blog posts, putting up videos, building your email list, and interacting with social media.

It’s up to you, just how fast you build your online presence.

Psychology Of Success Principle #2: Work the Numbers Game

There is really no way of telling just how many recruits you will need before you start to produce a true residual income. The reason for this is simple; not everyone you bring into the business will stick around, and not everyone is going to produce new recruits.

Attrition and non-performance are very common factors with network marketing.

My suggestion is to work recruits in blocks of 25. That’s a large enough number to begin seeing the ratio of your downline group performance.

A good goal is to work toward getting 75 to 100 recruits. It may not take that much, but why leave it to chance? Most top performers have enrolled around 100 recruits or more.

Be sure that you integrate content building with email marketing. The goal is to set up marketing funnels that allow you to collect names and e-mail addresses. The psychology of success dictates that you work the numbers.

The more valuable content that you put up, the more website visitors you will receive.

There are a few ratios that you will want to figure out:

  • How many visitors come to your site before you collect an e-mail address?
  • How many e-mail addresses do you obtain before someone signs up as a recruit?
  • How many recruits do you need to sign up before you come across someone that’s willing to put in the work of building their online presence?

These are just a few things to consider, so that you don’t get discouraged about the fallacies of building a network marketing business.

There is a definite psychology of success, and you will begin to see a pattern, the more work you put into it.

Wishing You the Best,

Greg Jackson

Are You In The Right MLM Business Opportunity?

By Greg Jackson on July 13, 2014

Are you in the right MLM business opportunity? Your ability to communicate the right message to network marketing professionals is the key.

I’ll admit upfront that I have more questions than answers surrounding this topic. This isn’t about me giving you the answers, but more about getting you to think about ways to get across the vision you found when joined your network marketing company.

I feel that it’s important to have an online home base with which to start building whatever business opportunity you’re in. This is the starting gate from where you propel off the launching pad.

The most effective online home base would be a website; a blog to be very specific.

How Do I Blog About My MLM Business Opportunity?

One of the most confusing part about building a network marketing blog is determining what type of content to have. I thought of a couple of different ways to address this issue.

The premise from which to build your blog should be based on having a value driven message. It means, you shouldn’t be promoting or selling your primary MLM business opportunity, simply because that is better saved as something you promote on the backend.

Try to think of ways to either instruct or educate your readers. The goal is to connect your message to your business opportunity.

It’s okay to have your primary MLM business opportunity as part of one of your main pages, but it’s the content in your blog post that’s going to bring readers to your website or blog.

Topics That Address Your MLM Business Opportunity

The following information should only be used as a guideline in determining the type of content that you’ll be using to build your blog:

  1. Inform your readers, using generic information, about the conditions or problems in which your business opportunity can lend itself as the solution.
  2. Write about the the benefits that can be obtained from using the generic version, if possible, without mentioning the actual brand name that is sold by your business opportunity.
  3. Whenever possible, look for affiliate programs that have products that can be used as accessories that are closely related to your MLM business opportunity.
  4. Educate potential recruits about how to succeed at network marketing.
  5. Educate potential customers about what your business opportunity’s products and services can provide for them.

These are just a few ideas about crafting your message around your MLM business opportunity. If you have any additional ideas, feel free to leave your comments.

Affiliate Products Can Grow Your Network Marketing Business

By Greg Jackson on July 8, 2014

Affiliate products are a major part of most successful online network marketing income streams. Affiliate marketing products can grow your MLM business.

Before your network marketing business can really take off, it has to hit a hyper-growth stage. The concept of network marketing alone, entails that both you and your distributors are recruiting. Until this happens, the majority of your income will come mostly from the commissions of the people you recruit alone.

The commissions that come from MLM recruiting won’t amount to much, until you hit certain bonus levels in your company’s compensation plan. Many of these bonuses can only kick in after certain group volume requirements have been met.

Affiliate Products As a Network Marketing Income Stream

Before I ever got out of high school, a mentor of mine suggested, on top of getting a college degree, that I learn a trade. His rationale implied that:

  1. I could earn an additional income apart from my regular job, and
  2. in case the job market for college graduates ever slowed down, I could still earn decent wages with a trade.

Promoting affiliate products offer additional insurance against putting all your eggs in one basket. Until your network marketing company can produce a sustainable residual income, adding affiliate products to your arsenal can bring in higher commissions than those of a lot of network marketing companies.

If you need to learn more about promoting affiliate products, check out the Super Affiliate Handbook.

One of the most important aspects of having an affiliate products campaign is tailoring your message with the right products. If you promote the wrong products, it will cost you. Be sure that your message is congruent with the products you are promoting.

A lot of affiliate products have banners, so if you decide to put them on your website, make sure it’s a good fit with the MLM niche that you’ve implemented.

Wishing You The Best,

Greg Jackson

The Entrepreneur Mindset For MLM Champions

By Greg Jackson on July 8, 2014

Having an entrepreneur mindset propels you to success in your network marketing business. When you practice it diligently, you will become an MLM Champion.

If you’ve ever been sidetracked by all the forces that seem to slow you down, or you have a feeling of being totally lost about what to do with your MLM business, then this will serve as a guide for establishing an entrepreneur mindset.

Entrepreneur Mindset Trait # 1: Work Now, Get Paid Later!

Most people that are involved in the network marketing industry only have limited resources with which to build their business. They usually work 9-to-5 jobs, while holding onto a dream about building wealth through network marketing.

Whether they work a regular job or have any number of responsibilities that get in the way of building a business, the dilemma of figuring out what it takes to reach their dreams can take the wind out of their sails.

I have a general assumption about network marketers; it’s their dream to build their business as fast as possible. Well…a network marketing business can be built pretty fast, if all of the right variables are attended to.

Imagine for a second that you are working your network marketing business, and you are paid a salary to do it. How would this change how you work the business?

Continuing with the scenario of being paid a salary, what exactly would you do if you were given 60 days to build your business,  and you would not continue to get paid a salary when the time ran out?

Developing an entrepreneur mindset is about having  a vision, work habits and focus with building something before you can actually see the reward. It’s about allocating your time and resources, while engaging in activities that are not particularly enjoyable or interesting.

In short, you have to put in the work that the successful 2% of network marketers are doing. Get rid of the “I’ll believe it when I see it” mentality. The entrepreneur mindset is about working hard, before you ever see a dime.

Entrepreneur Mindset Trait # 2: Use Your Compass to Find the Right Activities!

The entrepreneur mindset for network marketing success is not just about working hard; it’s about moving on a straight line to find the shortest distance to success.

Do you know what skill sets are necessary to be successful in your business? Do you know your weaknesses that limit that success?

The answers to these questions are not a one-size-fits-all solution. The idea of a leader standing in front of a crowd, motivating them to take action, was the original picture I had in my head about who the successful network marketer was.

There are many successful network marketers that don’t fit this mold, but they did figure out the right activities that would allow them to see success.

Although you may not speak in front of crowds, I do believe that it is essential for you to have the ability to guide one person with the right activities of building their business. The reason I put an emphasis on one person, is that successful organizations are built one person at a time.

Narrowing it down to specifics, there are only two things that you need to know to build a successful network marketing business:

  1. The products/services and compensation plan of your network marketing company.
  2. A marketing system that you can explain to your recruits.

You don’t have to be a marketing expert, if the system you are using utilizes marketing training and automated marketing tools. It does, however, mean that you make full use of that training to promote yourself.

I put emphasis on promoting yourself, because the marketing system that you use should be a generic system that can be applied across many types of marketing niches.

Don’t expect your network marketing company to have this system in place; in fact, you shouldn’t really be selling your network marketing company. You should be selling your own personal brand, which goes beyond the company you are promoting.

As a general rule,  people don’t buy from companies. They buy from other people.

When you combine hard work with doing the right activities, you shorten the potential path to success with your business.

Wishing You The Best,

Greg Jackson

Making A Blog For Your Network Marketing Business

By Greg Jackson on July 8, 2014

Making a blog to build your network marketing business can be challenging. Here are some pointers that can help with blogging on your MLM profit base.

Making a blog is the start of your marketing universe!

A blog should be, in my humble opinion, your marketing base from which all of your marketing efforts flow from.

If the world came to an end and your current network marketing company took a nose dive into the Failed MLM Hall of Fame, your main base of operations should still be standing. That’s why making a blog is so important.

Hard sell your knowledge, but soft sell your products!

I’m a firm believer in making a blog that utilizes information marketing. When it comes to posting on a blog, giving out as much valuable information as possible is what gets visitors to your website.

Even writing a product review about your network marketing company falls in the category of information marketing, but don’t overdo it.

When making a blog becomes a giant poster for your company, your readers will lose interest.

Like a lot of things in life, the spin that you put on your blog topic is very important. Too much selling will come across as a sales page, so I recommend having no more than an 80/20 ratio; the 80 percent is the valuable content, of course.

Personally, I have a tendency to try and get the attention of the search engines, but finding a balance with keeping the readers happy is crucial.

I wouldn’t want my customer base to bounce off the website because of a lack of valuable information.

Trust me on this: if you provide really good information with a topic that has a high demand, the search engines will find you.

Don’t forget your retail customer base!

One of the things that most network marketers forget is the potential marketing reach to retail customers.

Not all of your customers have to be network marketing recruits, so you want to be sure to include them in your marketing mix.

Whether it’s providing them with information that lends itself to having your product as the solution, or providing insight that could transform them into possible recruits, be sure to tailor your message so no bases are left uncovered.

Wishing You the Best,

Greg Jackson

MLM Guide To Increase Online Sales

By Greg Jackson on July 7, 2014

To increase online sales with your network marketing business, you will need to go down many avenues to communicate to potential MLM prospects.

Targeted Keyword Research To Increase Online Sales

Having the correct keywords can get you going down the right track to bringing you more customers.

Using targeted keywords, specifically drawn to bring in search engine traffic from your niche market, will go a long ways to increase online sales.

As a general rule, you want to carefully choose words that advertisers are paying higher cost per click (CPC) rates. Just make sure the those keywords don’t have such high amounts of competition that would make it difficult to get higher rankings.

With that end in mind, there are a couple of tools that will be useful in finding those targeted keywords. They are the Google Keyword Planner and Long Tail Pro.

Using Copywriting To Increase Online Sales

I have a certain love/hate relationship with writing in general. I don’t always like doing it, but I’ve come to realize that it is one of the most necessary aspects of having an online network marketing business.

What exactly is copywriting? Is basically using the written word to inform and persuade.

The word “selling” has a dirty connotation in the network marketing industry. In my experience, there is no way around it.

The whole “it’s telling, not selling” mantra has become overused in the MLM industry. Selling is simply the art of persuading someone to take action, or see things in a different way.

I’ve never met, or heard of, a top earner that isn’t somewhat proficient in the art of persuasion. If it’s your intention to increase online sales, then I would suggest that you learn to integrate selling into your copywriting. An amazing business model that you also want to combine with selling is affiliate marketing.

I’m not saying that you need to become a hyped up salesperson, but be sure that the topic that you’re writing about is informative and has a call to action for your readers.

There’s no way around the price that must be paid in becoming proficient with copywriting…that price is to do a lot of writing. Don’t wait for the feeling of doing it right; just do it!

It’s also important to put apply those copywriting muscles to your email marketing too.

Social Media To Increase Online Sales

If you’re not on social media sites, then you’re leaking air out of your marketing. Even if you don’t have followers on those sites, that holds true.

At the very minimum, I would suggest that you have a Twitter and Facebook account. Some of the types of updates you could make on these social sites are blog posts, videos, product recommendations, and links from authority specialists.

The reasoning for social media is to expand your reach beyond the search engines, although some of your social media updates will also appear and sometimes have a high rank in the search engines too.

Wishing You The Best,

Greg Jackson
