Using Your Blog As An MLM Downline Builder

By Greg Jackson on December 9, 2013

Your blog can act as a downline builder for your network marketing business. Take the essential steps with blogging to promote your MLM website.

Unlike a static website, a blog is more dynamic and can be updated more easily.

Tyler Moore demonstrates how to build a blog, from scratch, in this video:

After you have built your blog, then you can set it up as a downline builder. Your blog should be viewed as a central hub, with the ability to integrate to social media and to set up your link building for greater exposure.

If you are setting up a WordPress blog, then you will have a platform that can notify the search engines, whenever new content is created.

The content is what differentiates your blog from every other blog, so you will want to make sure that your niche keywords and the content you put up are congruent.

Your Blog’s Capacity As A Downline Builder

In order for you to capitalize on building your network marketing business, you will want to focus on lead generation, and that means email marketing.

The best way to set this up, is by having an email marketing service like Aweber.

Your network marketing company may also supply you with lead capture pages.

Those capture pages generally consist of either a link that goes to the capture page, or a set of code to insert inside of your blog.

If you are looking for ways for building traffic with a blog, How To Make Money Blogging is a great resource.

It’s also important to sign up with several social media communities, like Facebook and Twitter.

With a WordPress blog, you can search for social media buttons to integrate into your blog. Once that happens, people coming to your blog can also follow you through social media.

Another important aspect is posting messages, particularly those conveying value to readers, which can bring new readers to your website.

MLM Traffic Generation As A Numbers Game

By Greg Jackson on December 9, 2013

Doing lots of MLM traffic generation activities has to be a high priority. Attracting lots of network marketing clients will help you succeed.

MLM Traffic Generation is about getting people’s attention to your website; hopefully, with the possibility that they will buy what you are selling, or respond to your call to action.

Allow me to illustrate a ridiculous reverse engineering of the process:

  • Network Marketing recruits come from your sales funnel.
  • The sales funnel comes from the people that give you their names and email addresses or email list.
  • The names and email addresses you receive come from your MLM traffic generation efforts.

MLM Traffic Generation Reality Check

You have to work the numbers to be effective with your MLM traffic generation methods. This topic is more about a reality check, and less about techniques and methods.

You have to think outside the box to determine just how many times your lead capture page is seen, without someone giving you their name or email address. And for those that do give you their information, how many of them actually join your opportunity?

The bottom line is more about mindset, and not giving up because of the amount of traffic you will need to be a success.

Elliot Hulse talks about what it means to fail. WARNING: He uses very expressive words, but his message is timeless.

Do you recall the first time you got excited about network marketing?

You saw the compensation plan, and understood how you could leverage your potential income through building an organization.

If you were like me, you computed how many distributors it would take to hit that magical income figure.

We didn’t factor in all of the frustration from things like signing up someone and having them drop out after the first month. We didn’t factor in bringing more people in the business who wouldn’t duplicate our efforts. We didn’t look at the realities of human nature, itself.

We just saw the dream and bought into it!

MLM Traffic Generation By The Numbers

  • If only 1 person out of 100 fills out your lead capture page, is it still worth going through the MLM traffic generation process?
  • Is it too hard?
  • Are you going to quit?

It’s all part of the MLM traffic generation game. These are the exact conditions that many success stories are born from.

Many six figure earners in the network marketing business had to “rise from the ashes” to make their dream possible.

Attraction Marketing System Is A Big MLM Success Factor

By Greg Jackson on December 8, 2013

If MLM recruits are the goal, then an attraction marketing system is the answer. With so much competition in network marketing, a great system helps.

If you are in the network marketing industry, you need a system that can educate, inspire and get leads at the same time.

Before I get into what an attraction marketing system is and why you need to have it, check out the video below:

Pat Flynn will go into one of the greatest benefits of an attraction marketing system, which is the concept of passive income. Although he uses the sale of an e-book as an example, the concept is interchangeable with the MLM industry.

Attraction Marketing Systems Are The X-Factor For Online MLM Success

There are many different attraction marketing systems that a network marketer could choose from. The best one for you is based upon your needs and propensities.

Although some are better than others, it would have to be an individual choice as to which system is the best. Discussions can get pretty heated about who has the best, but that’s not why I’m discussing this.

The fact that MLM distributors will fight over their chosen system is not without a good reason. Attraction Marketing Systems help to educate them, bring people into their businesses, and even makes some of them very wealthy.

These systems can implement many different processes. Some of these processes include training, email marketing, affiliate marketing, ad copy, ad swaps and transitioning new recruits into your network marketing company.

The problems that you could face without an attraction marketing system are:

  1. It could take you longer to start generating income, if all you do is depend on earnings from your network marketing company. Most attraction marketing systems have one or more sources of generating income.
  2. If you have your own preconceived ideas about promoting your network marketing business, you could suffer from blind spots about what works. If your company offers training and support, that’s good. If you don’t have access to proper training, most attraction marketing systems can offer this to you.
  3. One of the lesser known facts about network marketing companies are the restrictions that are placed on you with presenting other commercial offers. If a new recruit has an established business relationship with you, before they join your network marketing business, then you can present them with other commercial opportunities. This isn’t the case for every company, but it is a general rule. If you are able to secure a relationship with a customer, through an attraction marketing system first, then you can market to them over and over again.
  4. The most obvious reason for a marketing system is the ability to create a more effective lead generation campaign.

MLM Sponsoring Through The Internet Is Hard And Easy

By Greg Jackson on December 8, 2013

Online MLM Sponsoring is the greatest reason why the Internet was invented. Network marketing already had the greatest pay plan, before dotcoms came along.

On the downside, there is a lot of noise online about how easy it is to grow massive network marketing teams.

Unfortunately, the reality of building a large organization on the Internet takes more work than most network marketers are willing to do.

The Reality of Online MLM Sponsoring

Conceptually, building a large network marketing company on the Internet is the same as building it the old-fashioned traditional way. Building it online comes with two inherent factors: (1) greater reach potential because of technology, and (2) less rejection.

The most interesting thing about these factors is that, it has allowed more network marketers to succeed, and fail. The rate of failure is still about 98% for online and offline marketers.

In total, there are more people in the network marketing industry than ever. A lot more people are succeeding because, for whatever reason, they were turned off by the old traditional ways of doing the business. Overall, the success rate has remained the same.

Earlier, I stated how it takes more work than most online network marketers are willing to do. Actually, what that means is that it takes more work than they expected.

Online MLM Sponsoring does take work, but not as much as the old days of trying to invite everyone you know to get to the business opportunity meeting at the Holiday Inn, or even worse; your own home.

An excellent resource on this topic is Rob Fore’s Online MLM Marketing.

Most Successful Online MLM Sponsoring Model

When Network Marketing on the Internet first became popular, it was due to several pioneers that started the Attraction Marketing model.

Some of it’s earliest proponents were Mike Dillard and Ann Sieg, just to name a couple. The Attraction Marketing concept is pretty simple; grow your customer base by providing value and training.

This model’s monetization strategy consist of affiliate programs, automated marketing systems and the network marketing company itself.

The bottom line is that attraction marketing works, but it takes a little more work than just throwing up some content on a blog, putting a couple of videos on YouTube, posting Facebook ads or sending out a couple of Twitter messages.

If this is what online network marketers are trying to do in their lead generation strategies, than they have a lot more work to do. That’s why the success rate for MLM Sponsoring on the Internet is only 2%.

Greg Jackson

SEO Tools For Network Marketing

By Greg Jackson on December 8, 2013

Search engine optimization tools can increase the network marketing recruits that come to your website. These SEO tools will increase your MLM exposure.

I will admit, upfront, that SEO is not particularly exciting to implement. Michael Rolfe of Koozai will run through 11 key search engine optimization tools:

Search Engine Optimization Tools That Will Generation More Traffic

The best search engine optimization tools that I can think of, are the ones that require the least amount of work. For me, that means automation.

One piece of software that you can use is Traffic Travis. The best part is that it has a free version that you can use. It includes ways to do competition research, find backlinks, research keywords and many other features.

One of the most important factors surrounding SEO is keywords. At the very least, you should do research on them for factors such as competition and demand.

Another free tool that you can use to find this information is the Google Keyword Planner. This tool will give you tons of information on which keywords to focus on.

Another great product that gets you the keywords you need, quickly and efficiently, is Long Tail Pro.

I’m also a big believer in WordPress plugins. If you use WordPress as a blogging platform, here are a couple of plugins that you might helpful.

  • Super Simple Google Analytics – allows a simple way to insert your Google Analytics tracking code.
  • WordPress SEO – This is one of the best All-In-One SEO solutions, and it comes with XML sitemaps and on-page content analysis.

If you would like more information about SEO, then I would suggest you look into SEO 2014 & Beyond. This book gives you a thorough explanation about all of the different aspects of how to get a higher ranking in the search engine results, and a whole lot more.

The bottom line is, the higher your search engine results, the greater the lead generation process for your network marketing business.

Twitter Marketing And Social Media For MLM Recruiting

By Greg Jackson on December 7, 2013

These Twitter marketing tips can help maximize network marketing recruiting. I will cover what you should do, and not do, to draw MLM readers back to you.

Before I dive into discussing what those Twitter marketing tips are, Marija Hamed will discuss the “Time Of Day” factor in using Twitter.

Twitter Marketing Tips For Maximum MLM Exposure

Tip #1: Use Hootsuite to automate your Twitter account. There are several other social media networks that you can integrate with this program, as well. One of the major advantages of using this service is the ability to also track clicks from all of your social media accounts.

HootSuite: Social Media Dashboard

Tip #2: Because Twitter is more of a relationship building tool, you want to make sure that you are tweeting to add value to your followers. Most people with Twitter accounts get bombarded with offers and services. My advice to you is simple: Don’t join the crowd of network marketing spammers that do nothing more than tweet business opportunity offers.

Some actions you could take are sending articles, videos, MLM websites and blog post from yourself and other people that you find interesting. This will add more value, which increases retweets, gets you more followers and increases the number of hits to your website.

Tip #3: Make sure that you have your website or blog included in your Twitter profile. If you don’t have a website or blog, get into creation mode and get one started.

Another book recommendation is The Zen Of Social Media Marketing by Shama Kabani.

Twitter Marketing Tips For Engaging Prospects

Tip #4: Now for the big contradiction! If you must market your business on Twitter, send a link showcasing the benefits of what your product or service can do for the consumer, and only do this for every 5 or 6 twitter messages that you send out. One more thing; your link should take them to a lead capture page, ONLY!

Tip #5:If you are serious about lead generation, you should focus on funneling new visitors to your own personal website. The whole purpose with engaging potential network marketing prospects to get to your website is by resonating with them, as much as possible, and building a relationship.

Wishing You The Best,

Greg Jackson
